Our apartment is located on the outskirts of Bad Kreuznach on the 3rd floor of a detached 3-family house. It is approx. 1.2 km to the old town / pedestrian zone, which you can walk mostly on a pedestrian / bike path off the road.
It's nearly 500 meters to the nearest discounter (Lidl), the closest winery or the Nahe cycle path. The first vineyards are even closer.
For diving enthusiastic guests of our friends Hunsfels diving organization: It is 17km to lime-mining-lake, but you have the pleasant mix of great diving experience, the central location for other activities and a pleasant apartment. The same is valid if you would like to use the offers by experiential education Seilbrücke.
Bad Kreuznach with its >50,000 inhabitants is the central focus of the Nahe region. The city itself offers with its spa area, the Salinental as the largest open-air inhaler in Europe, Rotenfels, Rheingrafenstein, Ebernburg, the bridge houses, the old town, various wineries in the city and in the surrounding area, some with ostrich farms, ... an incredible amount of variety . The wine of Nahe region is a real highlight among German wines.
As the center of the nearby region, it is also a shopping city for the entire region and offers good opportunities for excursions by train with direct train connections to Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Saarbrücken and Koblenz. The Nahe Valley, the nearby regions Hunsrück or Rheinhessen are worthwhile excursions by car. And Bingen with the start of the Unesco World Heritage Site "Middle Rhine Valley" is only about 15 km away. The Nahe Cycle Path, which leads with a total of 127 km through the beautiful Nahe Valley from the source of the Nahe at Selbach in Saarland to the mouth in the Rhine in Bingen, is also just over 500 meters away.
As you can see, Bad Kreuznach is worth a trip, regardless of whether you prefer sightseeing and / or scenery, wine or beer lovers (there is also a regional brewery named Brauwerk).
Our apartment has a size of 55 square meters (according to DIN, larger ground area), divided into a total of 3 rooms, kitchen and bathroom as well as a corridor area that connects all rooms. The entire house received a completely new heating system in spring 2020 with a central hot water supply and solar thermal support (kitchen and bathroom of the apartment have infrared heaters). We describe the individual rooms in detail below.
NEW: From spring 2021 on we have for guests a separate area in our garden to sit and have barbecue. Photos will follow as soon as we could complete the area.
Of course there is a parking space for our guests in the courtyard. By the way, the nearest bus stop is only about 20 meters from the courtyard entrance. During the day you can go directly from the apartment by public transport.
You can connect to the Internet via WLAN with a fast 100 Mbit / s connection.
